There are five kinds of nouns

A proper noun is the name of some particular person or place.

A common noun is a name given in common to every person or thing of the same class or kind
அதாவது ஒரே இனத்தை பிரிவை செர்ந்தவரையோ , ஒரே வகையை சேர்ந்த பொருளையோ பொதுவாக அழைப்பது .

A collective noun is the name of a group of persons or things taken together and spoken of as one whole
(உதாரணம் ) A Family, An Army
நபர் அல்லது பொருட்களின் கூட்டத்தை குழுவாக அழைப்பது
உதாரணம் :
Crowd = மக்கள் கூட்டம்
A Family = ஒரு குடும்பம்
A Family = ஒரு குடும்பம்
An Army = ஒரு ராணுவம்
- Abstract noun ( பண்பு பெயர்ச்சொல்)
An Abstract noun is the name of a quality action or state
அதாவது ஒரு பொருளின் தன்மையை செயலை நிலையை சொல்வது
Quality :
Kindness - அன்பு கனிந்த
Cleanliness - சுத்தமாக இருத்தல்
Action :
Theft = திருட்டு
Judgment = தீர்ப்பு
State :
Childhood = குழந்தைபருவம்
Slavery = அடிமைத்தனம்

Material nouns are the names of materials of which the things are made
